Overview
The Baltimore Ravens traded up three selections in the 2009 NFL Draft to select Ole Miss OT Michael Oher with the 23rd overall pick.

In the 2008 season, the Ravens finished 11-5 in the regular season, finishing in second place in the AFC North. They won two playoff games before losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game.

The Ravens have used five of their last six first-round selections on offensive players, including 2008, when they selected Delaware quarterback Joe Flacco 18th overall.
