Overview
The Miami Dolphins selected Illinois CB Vontae Davis with the 25th overall selection in the 2009 NFL Draft.

In the 2008 season, the Dolphins finished 11-5 in the regular season, finishing in first place in the AFC East. They lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Wild Card Playoffs.
