Overview
The Tennessee Titans selected Rutgers WR Kenny Britt with the 30th overall selection in the 2009 NFL Draft.

In the 2008 season, the Titans finished 13-3 in the regular season, finishing in first place in the AFC South. Despite having the best regular-season record in the NFL, the Titans did not win a playoff game, losing to the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Divisional Playoffs.

Britt's selection marked just the fourth time since moving to Tennessee that the franchise selected an offensive player in the first round.
