Prep Career
Myers set nine school records during his career at Prairie City-Monroe High School in Prairie City, IA. He finished his career with 82 receptions and 29 receiving touchdowns, both school records. He also led the school's basketball team to a 27-0 record and a state title as a senior. He chose Iowa over Northern Iowa.
College Career
Myers redshirted in 2004 and played mostly on special teams in 2005 and 2006. As a junior, Myers was Iowa's second-string tight end and caught 21 passes -- 20 more than he had entering the season. Myers was a first-team All-Big Ten selection by the league's coaches as a senior, finishing the year with a career-high 34 receptions for 441 yards.
NFL Career
Myers was selected in the sixth round (202nd overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. Before the 2009 season, Myers signed a four-year contract with Oakland.
