Overview
Freddie Brown is a former wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, who selected him with the 252nd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Brown attended Utah, where he played for four seasons and was named second-team All-Mountain West in his senior season. Brown is 6-feet, 4-inches tall, and weighs 215 pounds. He is currently a free agent.
College Career
After redshirting at Citrus College in 2004, Brown transferred to Utah in 2005. He played just four games that season, catching two passes. After catching a combined 37 passes over the next two seasons, Brown blossomed in 2008, leading Utah with 77 catches for 900 yards. The 77 catches were the second-most in a single season in Utah history, as Brown earned second-team All-MWC honors and held the Utes finish undefeated. Brown capped off his college career by catching 12 passes for 125 yards in the 2009 Sugar Bowl win against Alabama, both career highs.
NFL Career
Brown was selected in the seventh round (252nd overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. Before the 2009 season, Brown signed a four-year/$1.788M contract with Cincinnati. After catching one pass for 18 yards in the 2009 preseason, Brown was waived.
