Overview
Mike Goodson is a running back for the Carolina Panthers, who selected him with the 111th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Goodson attended Texas A&M, where he played for three seasons. Goodson is 6-feet tall and weighs 196 pounds.
Prep Career
Before his senior season at Collins High School in Klein, TX, Goodson committed to Oklahoma State. However, he decommitted after his senior season, during which he ran for 973 yards on just 99 attempts. ESPN's Scouts Inc. ranked Goodson as the No. 6 running back prospect and the No. 45 overall prospect in the class of 2006. He chose Texas A&M over USC.
College Career
As a freshman at Texas A&M, Goodson led the Aggies in rushing yards with 847 on 127 rushes (6.7 yards per rush). He was an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection by the league's coaches. As a sophomore, Goodson finished third on the team in rushing, with 711 yards. He also became an important part of the passing game, catching 36 passes for 361 yards. New head coach Mike Sherman instituted more of a passing offense in 2008, limiting Goodson's role in the backfield. He had a career-low 94 rushing attempts for 406 yards, both of which still led the team. He also caught a career-high 37 passes for 386 yards.
NFL Career
Goodson was selected in the fourth round (111th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. Before the 2009 season, Goodson signed a contract with Carolina. Terms were not disclosed.

The Aggies have dropped 2 in a row, scoring no more than 14 points in either game. One of the big reasons is their powerful running attack has been slowed down.

Jorvorskie Lane isn't the only running threat the Sooners have to worry about. Led by QB Stephen McGee (80.2), the Aggies rank 9th nationally in rushing (239.4). They can also counter with the speedy Mike Goodson (55.3). A&M, however, couldn't get much of anything going on the ground against the Jayhawks last week, gaining just 74 yds on 27 attempts. The 27 attempts was a season-low and the 45 passes were a season-high, due mainly to the fact the Aggies trailed by 19 at one point.
