Overview
Jake Ingram is a long snapper for the New England Patriots, who selected him with the 198th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Ingram played four seasons for the University of Hawaii. Ingram is 6-feet, 4-inches tall and weighs 245 pounds.
Prep Career
Born in Albuquerque, N.M, Ingram graduated from Mililani High School in Mililani, O'ahu, Hawaii in 2004. He earned two varsity letters in football and was named to the 2004 all-league team. Ingram also made the honor roll and earned one varsity letter in track at Mililani.
College Career
While at Hawaii, Ingram was a four-time letterman and two-year starter as long snapper on extra points, field goals, and punts. Ingram played in 49 games for the Warriors, starting with 13 in his junior season, and 14 as a senior. As a sophomore Ingram, an economics major, was named academic all-WAC. After the 2009 season, Ingram was invited to participate in the Senior Bowl, where he served as a long snapper and recorded one tackle for the South team.
NFL Career
Ingram was selected in the sixth round (198th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Before the 2009 season, Ingram signed a contract with New England. Terms were not disclosed.
