Overview
Cody Dion Brown is a defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals, who selected him with the 63rd pick in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Brown played college football at the University of Connecticut, where he was a first team All-Big East selection. Brown is 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 248 pounds.
Prep Career
As a senior at Coral Springs High School in Coral Springs, FL, Brown recorded 88 tackles and nine sacks. He was an honorable mention all-state selection, and signed with Connecticut, which started recruiting him heavily during his junior season.
College Career
Brown played 42 games in four seasons at Connecticut, missing the final six games of the 2006 season due to a broken arm. He finished his career with 150 total tackles and is second in Connecticut history with 24.0 sacks. His best season came as a senior in 2008. That season, Brown tied for the Big East lead with 11.0 sacks, earning first team All-Big East honors.
NFL Career
Brown was selected in the second round (63rd overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. Before the 2009 season, Brown signed a four-year/$2.7M contract with Arizona.
