Overview
Gerald McRath is a linebacker for the Tennessee Titans, who selected him with the 130th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. McRath attended Southern Miss, where he was a three-time All-Conference USA selection. After his junior season, McRath chose to forgo his final year of eligibility and enter the 2009 NFL Draft. College Career
After redshirting in 2004, McRath was limited two two games of action in 2005 before suffering a knee injury against McNeese State. He was granted a medical redshirt year for the 2005 season. McRath recovered from his knee injury to become a regular starter over the next three seasons for Southern Miss. He was a third team All-Conference USA selection in 2006, finishing with a team-high 104 total tackles. McGrath earned first team All-Conference USA selections in each of his next two seasons, and was the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore. McRath finished his career with 386 total tackles (32.5 for loss) and 8.0 sacks.
NFL Career
McRath was selected in the fourth round (130th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. Before the 2009 season, McRath signed a four-year contract with Tennessee.
