George Bussey is an offensive tackle for the New England Patriots, who selected him with the 170th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Prep Career
He attended Western High School in Louisville. He was a three-year starter and voted the team's best offensive lineman during his junior and senior seasons.
Freshman Year
Bussey went to Louisville as a walk-on and redshirted his first year. He played in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman on offensive line and special teams.
Sophomore Year
Bussey started all 13 games, playing both offensive tackle and guard. He didn't allow a sack all season and was named first team All-Big East.
Junior Year
Bussey started all 13 games at offensive tackle. He allowed just two sacks and was named second team All-Big East.
Senior Year
Before the 2008 season, Bussey was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List for the nation's best interior lineman. However, he suffered a sprained left ankle against Tennessee Tech and missed the next game against Kansas State. He was limited to 10 games of action in 2008, but was still a first team All-Big East selection, playing at both guard and tackle.
NFL Career
George Bussey was selected in the fifth round (170th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Before the 2009 season, Bussey signed a four-year contract with New England.

Bussey suffered a knee injury during the 2009 preseason, and was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 5, 2009.
