Overview
Patrick Turner is a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, who selected him with the 87th pick in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Turner played four seasons of college football at USC. Turner is 6-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs 220 pounds.
Prep Career
Scout.com ranked Turner as the No. 1 wide receiver prospect in the nation in the class of 2005. He was a 2004 PARADE All-America selection, after catching 48 passes for more than 800 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior at Goodpasture High School in Madison, TN. He signed with USC after also considering offers from Florida, LSU, Miami (FL) and Tennessee.
College Career
After playing primarily as a reserve in his first two seasons with the Trojans, Turner became a key piece of USC's offense in 2007 and 2008. He finished second on the team in receptions in both seasons, and earned second team All-Pac-10 honors after catching 10 touchdowns as a senior. Turner finished his career with 138 receptions, ranking 10th on USC's all-time list.
NFL Career
Turner was selected in the third round (87th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. Before the 2009 season, Turner signed a four-year contract with Miami.
