Overview
Kahlil Bell is a former running back at UCLA, where he was the co-MVP of the 2005 Sun Bowl. After playing four seasons with the Bruins, Bell was eligible for the 2009 NFL Draft but went undrafted. He is currently on the practice squad of the Chicago Bears. Bell is 6-feet tall and weighs 219 pounds.
Prep Career
Bell played his junior and senior seasons of high school at Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield, CA. Prior to that, he played at Montgomery High School. He was the No. 62-ranked running back recruit in the class of 2005 according to Scout.com. Bell ran for 2,292 yards and 31 touchdowns as a senior, setting school records in both categories.
College Career
At UCLA, Bell was a solid contributor as a freshman, running for 310 yards and three touchdowns. He capped off that season by running for 136 yards and two touchdowns in the Bruins' Sun Bowl win against Northwestern, earning co-MVP honors. Bell's sophomore season was marred by a sprained ankle that caused him to miss four game,s and he was suspended for another two. He missed the final five games of his junior season after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee against Washington State. He missed another two games due to injury as a senior. Despite that, he led UCLA in rushing in both 2007 and 2008. Bell finished his career with 1,741 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns.
Professional Career
Bell was eligible to be selected in the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed a free-agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings. After rushing for 14 yards in the Vikings preseason opener, Bell was released.

On Sept. 16, 2009, Bell was signed to the practice squad of the Chicago Bears.
