Prep Career
Henson was a second team All-State selection as a senior at Longview High School in Longview, TX. After recording 129 tackles (13.0 for loss) as a senior, he selected TCU over Arkansas and Nebraska.
College Career
Despite starting just twice as a freshman, Henson earned honorable mention All-Mountain West honors, finishing the season with 69 total tackles and 8.5 tackles for loss. He repeated his honorable mention All-MWC honors in both 2006 and 2007, before getting bumped up to the first team in 2008, his first season as a full-time starter. Henson's senior season, in which he career highs of 73 total tackles and 9.0 tackles for loss, ended on a down note when he was forced to miss the Poinsettia Bowl due to academic ineligibility.
NFL Career
Henson was selected in the 6th round (186th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. Before the 2009 season, Henson signed a contract with the Redskins. Terms were not disclosed.
