Overview
Dominique Edison is a wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, who selected him with the 206th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Edison attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where he played for four seasons. Edison is 6-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 200 pounds.
Prep Career
Dominique Edison lettered in football, baseball, basketball, and track at San Augustine High School in San Augustine, TX. He was a part of a 2003 team that took home a 3A State Title. Edison finished his high school career with 90 catches for 1,916 yards and 17 touchdowns. As a track star, Edison won a state title in the 200 meters; he was also an All-State selection in basketball.
Freshman Year
After redshirting his freshman year, Edison appeared in all 11 of Stephen F. Austin's games in 2005. Edison caught 30 passes for 556 yards and 4 touchdowns in his first season.
Sophomore Year
Edison followed that up with a sophomore campaign in which he earned Honorable Mention All-Southland Conference honors.
Junior Year
Edison's junior season saw the Lumberjacks finish 0-11, marking the team's first winless season since 1933. Edison led the team with 55 catches for 582 yards, but managed just one touchdown catch in 2007. As a senior, however, Edison exploded for a school-record 67 catches for 1,016 yards. His 18 touchdown catches on the season were a conference record, and Edison was named first-team SLC.
Senior Year
Edison became only the fourth player in Stephen F. Austin history to record 1,000 receiving yards in a season. He finished his collegiate career with 182 receptions, making him the school's all-time leader in that category. Edison's 2,696 career receiving yards and 28 career TD receptions are the second-highest totals in school history.
NFL Career
Edison was selected in the sixth round (206th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. Before the 2009 season, Edison signed a four-year contract with Tennessee.
