Overview
Fenuki Tupou (fen-UU-keu TOO-poo) is an offensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles, who selected him with the 159th pick in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Tupou played two seasons at the University of Oregon. Tupou is 6-feet, 6-inches tall and weighs 322 pounds.
Prep and Junior College Career
At Center High School (CA) Tupou played quarterback, tight end and defensive line. After graduating high school in 2003, Tupou enrolled at Sierra College where he played football for two years. In 2006 he was the 34th-ranked JUCO recruit in the country according to Rivals.com
Oregon Career
Tupou redshirted in 2006, but took over a starting role the following season. He was a second-team All-Pac-10 selection in 2007. As a senior in 2008 Tupou anchored an offensive line which paved the way for the nation's second-ranked rushing offense (280.1 YPG).
NFL Career
Tupou was selected in the fifth round (159th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. Before the 2009 season, he signed a four-year contract with Philadelphia. Tupou suffered a chest injury during the 2009 preseason and was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 5, 2009.
