Overview
Jared Bronson is a former tight end at Central Washington, where he played after transferring from the University of Washington. After exhausting his college eligiblity, Bronson was eligible to be selected in the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. Bronson is 6-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs 235 pounds.
Prep Career
Bronson was a quarterback at Thomas Jefferson High School in Auburn, WA. However, he was not highly recruited, and chose to walk on at Washington, where his father played.
College Career
Bronson only earned one letter at Washington, in 2005, and didn't catch a pass while seeing limited action in two seasons. He chose to transfer to Division II Central Washington for his final two seasons of eligibility.

Bronson saw action in 13 games, with 12 starts, as a junior, catching 35 passes for 477 yards and two touchdowns.

As a senior, despite missing nearly five full games due to injury, Bronson finished second on the team in receiving yards (502) and touchdowns (six). In his final collegiate game, Bronson had eight receptions for 169 yards in Central's 49-42 loss to West Texas A&M in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. After his senior season, Bronson was invited to participate in the 2009 East-West Shrine Game.
Professional Career
Bronson was eligible to be selected in the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed a free-agent contract with the Miami Dolphins, but was placed on the reserve-did not report list at the start of training camp.
