Prep Career
McDonald played at Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, AR and lettered three years in football. He was a two-time All-Conference player and was named to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's 5-A top prospect list. He also lettered in basketball and threw the shot put.
College Career
McDonald played 12 games as a true freshman in 2005, recording six total tackles. He started 10 times as a sophomore, then earned honorable mention All-Conference USA honors as a junior. In his final season at Memphis, McDonald set a career high with 7.0 sacks, earning first team All-Conference USA honors. He finished his Memphis career with 139 total tackles and two forced fumbles.
NFL Career
Clinton McDonald was selected in the seventh round (249th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He was cut by the team prior to the 2009 season, and is currently a member of the Bengals practice squad.
