Overview
Conredge Anthony Collins is a former fullback at the University of Pittsburgh. A three-year starter for the Panthers, Collins was eligible to be selected in the 2009 NFL Draft but went undrafted. Collins is 6-feet tall and weighs 230 pounds.
Prep Career
Collins was a 1st-team All-Florida Class 3A running back as a senior at Monsingor Edward Pace high school rushing for 1,328 yards on 171 carries. He compiled 4,331 rushing yards and 52 rushing TDs for his high school career and led his team to a state championship in his junior season.
College Career
After initially being slated for a redshirt, Collins moved into active duty in midseason and contributed at fullback in his freshman year in 2005. In his sophomore season, he earned the starting position at fullback playing in 12 games and rushing for 115 yards (also had 20 receptions for 198 yards). In 2007 as a junior, Collins rushed for 110 yards in 12 games as he was the primary blocking back for freshman LeSean McCoy. In his senior season in 2008, Collins helped McCoy rush for 1,488 yards, the ninth-highest total among FBS schools. In 42 career games, Collins rushed for two TD and caught three TD for Pittsburgh.
Personal
Collins is the son of Tony Collins and Samara Ragland. His father is a former Pro Bowl running back who played for the New England Patriots (1981-87) and Miami Dolphins (1990) after starring at East Carolina.
