Overview
Quentin Chaney is a former wide receiver for the Oklahoma Sooners. After a four-year career, Chaney was now eligible for the 2009 NFL Draft but went undrafted. Chaney is 6-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs 203 pounds.
Prep Career
Chaney was a four-year starter and letter winner in football and basketball at Washington High School in Tulsa, OK. As a team captain as a senior, Chaney caught 24 passes for 570 yards and 12 touchdowns, helping his team win its 4th consecutive district championship.
College Career
Chaney played sparingly in his first three seasons at Oklahoma, catching a combined 15 passes from 2005 through 2007. He caught four passes for a game-high 129 yards and a touchdown in the 2008 Fiesta Bowl, his career high to that point. As a senior, Chaney nearly double his previous career total in receptions, catching 29 passes for 504 yards. He had two 100-yard games, against Kansas and Nebraska, giving him three for his career.
Professional Career
Chaney was eligible to be selected in the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed a free-agent contract with the St. Louis Rams. He failed a physical and was released by the Rams on May 1, 2009. He is currently a free agent.
