Overview
Ryan Durand is as offensive lineman for the Tennessee Titans, who selected him with the 239th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Durand played four seasons at Syracuse. Durand is 6-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs 303 pounds.
Prep Career
At St. Bernard's Prep in Leominster, MA, Durand was a 2003 Worcester Telegram & Gazette First Team Defensive All-Star and a Boston Globe All-Conference selection. Durand wrapped up his high school football career by being named a team captain as both a junior and senior. He also competed in the shot put and discus while in high school and was a three-year letter winner in track and field.
College Career
Durand became a starter for Syracuse as a sophomore, playing all 13 games. He started 11 times as a junior, then 12 as a senior, helping Curtis Brinkley rush for more than 1,000 yards. Following the 2008 season, Durand was invited to participate in the 2009 East-West Shrine Game.
NFL Career
Durand was selected in the seventh round (239th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. He was cut by the team prior to the 2009 season and is currently a member of the Titans practice squad.
