Overview
Tyronne Green is a center for the San Diego Chargers, who selected him with the 133rd overall pick in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Green played four seasons at Auburn. Green is 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 309 pounds.
Prep Career
Due to an injury, Green was limited to five games of action as a senior at Woodham High School in Pensacola, FL. He still recorded 34 tackles and three sacks. Green chose Auburn over Southern Miss.
College Career
After a redshirt season in 2004, Green moved to the offensive line in 2005, seeing action in four games. He was a reserve who played 13 games in 2006, before moving in to the starting lineup in 2007. Green started 25 consecutive games over his final two seasons at Auburn. He was a third team All-SEC selection by Phil Steele as a senior. After the 2008 season, Green was selected to play in the Senior Bowl.
NFL Career
Green was selected in the fourth round (133rd overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. Before the 2009 season, Green signed a four-year contract with San Diego.
